Word Parts

Word parts are composed of prefixes, roots, and suffixes.

One of the most important to learn about word parts are prefixes.

Prefixes are meaningful word parts that are attached to the beginning of words. Knowing the meanings of some common prefixes will help you understand unknown words that contains these prefixes.

Word Endings

It is very important that you need to recognize some word endings in English for this will often tells you how a word is used grammatically in English.

Even if you do not understand what the word means, you can tell how the word is used grammatically if you recognize the word ending of a word that you do not know.
